For the fastest response, include your Apple device model, operating-system version, BedderJet app version, the connection mode you selected (Direct Bluetooth, Home Assistant, or Demo), and the exact error message you see. Do not include Home Assistant access tokens or other credentials.

• Direct Bluetooth: make sure Bluetooth is enabled, the BedJet is powered on, and the official BedJet app or another Bluetooth controller is not already connected.
• Home Assistant: confirm that your Home Assistant URL is reachable from the Apple device and that the configured BedJet entities exist.
• Demo mode: select Try Demo in Settings to explore the controls without physical hardware or a server.

Overview

BedderJet is an iOS and macOS app that lets you control a BedJet climate device. It works in one of two ways, both of which you choose and configure yourself:

• Direct Bluetooth mode — the app talks directly to your BedJet device over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). No network connection is involved.
• Home Assistant mode — the app sends commands to a Home Assistant instance that you host and control, using a URL and access token that you provide.

BedderJet does not have a backend server operated by the developer. There is no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind built into the app.

Information We Access

BedderJet accesses the following information, entirely on your own device and (in Home Assistant mode) your own self-hosted server:

• Bluetooth device state — when connected directly to a BedJet, the app reads and sends BLE data (temperature, fan speed, mode, timers) to control the device.
• Home Assistant connection details — if you choose Home Assistant mode, you provide your own Home Assistant base URL and a long-lived access token so the app can send commands to your own server.
• App preferences you create — bed names, custom presets, and biorhythm (overnight temperature schedule) sequences that you configure within the app.

BedderJet does not access your contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone, health data, or any other information beyond what is described above, and does not request permissions beyond Bluetooth access (and local network access, where required for Home Assistant mode).

Where Your Data Goes

The developer of BedderJet never receives your data. There is no third-party or developer-owned backend that the app communicates with. Specifically:

• In direct Bluetooth mode, data only ever travels between your device and your own BedJet hardware over Bluetooth. It never leaves your device.
• In Home Assistant mode, data only ever travels between your device and the Home Assistant server URL that you typed into Settings — a server you own, host, and control. BedderJet does not proxy, log, or relay this traffic through any server owned by the developer.

Biorhythm sequences you build can either stay entirely on your device, or — if you're using Home Assistant mode and choose to — be uploaded as a script to your own Home Assistant instance so it can run the schedule server-side overnight. That upload, like everything else in Home Assistant mode, goes directly from your device to your own server.

Local Storage

Data BedderJet stores is kept locally on your device:

• Home Assistant access token — stored securely in the iOS/macOS Keychain. It is never written to app preferences, logs, or any file that could be casually inspected or synced elsewhere.
• Bed names, presets, biorhythm sequences, and your Home Assistant server URL — stored locally on-device. This is non-sensitive configuration data used only to run the app the way you've set it up.

None of this locally stored data is transmitted to the developer.

Analytics, Tracking, and Third-Party SDKs

BedderJet contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or any cross-app tracking identifiers.

Data Sale

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We can't — the developer never receives it in the first place.

Children's Privacy

BedderJet is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and given the architecture described above, no personal information from any user, child or otherwise, is ever transmitted to us.

Your Control Over Your Data

Because everything is stored locally on your device or on infrastructure you own:

• You can delete your Home Assistant token, bed names, presets, and biorhythm sequences at any time from the app's Settings, or by deleting the app, which removes all locally stored data.
• Any data sent to your Home Assistant instance is governed by your own Home Assistant setup and retention practices, since it's your server.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new app features or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If a future change introduces meaningfully different data practices, we will make that clear at the top of this document.
